I was watching a video for Kira Kira's "Bless" last night via Vimeo's top staff picks. The song is really cute and very similar to a lot of music coming from Iceland these days (Rice Boy Sleeps, Mum, Parachutes, Amiina..). While I was myspace stalking Kira Kira I noticed Alex Somers also contributes to her music, and I was like "Hey, I know that guy". He seems to be involved in just about every musical project happening in Reykjavik right now. The animation in this video, albeit a bit trippy dippy, is really well done and provided by Overture. Check out their blog, besides animation they have some neat prints as well.
